Artistic Director
Monèt Noelle Marshall is a multidisciplinary artist, cultural strategist, and organizer who serves as the interim Artistic Director of the Hayti Heritage Center. She has been making work since 1999 across theatre, film, poetry, and social practice, and describes her practice as rehearsal for the relationship. She is the Founding Artistic Director of MOJOAA Performing Arts Company, a Raleigh company centering living Black playwrights of the South, and Co-Founder of Grounded Possibilities, which supports Black artists in North Carolina working in environmental justice. Her work has been presented at St. Ann's Warehouse, the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, the NC Museum of Art, Columbia University and Historic Stagville. She is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University and Bryan and Robin's daughter.
