Acclaimed concert singer John Holiday has performed at world-renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, London’s Barbican Center, and the Philharmonie de Paris. His career highlights include a tour with Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic; the Sorceress in Barrie Kosky’s production of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas; and the world premiere of Matthew Aucoin’s Eurydice as Orpheus’s Double at the Los Angeles Opera. In addition to traditional concert performances and recitals, Holiday has curated The John Holiday Experience (JHE) to showcase his affinity and talent for many different genres, including classical, pop, jazz, and R&B.

Co-created by artists Derrick Beasley and Marcella Zigbuo Camara, it's a space to cultivate and document Black creative community — rooted in the tradition of Scurlock's studio portraiture, the Kamoinge Collective, and the pop-up gatherings of the Harlem Renaissance. On Juneteenth, it comes home to Hayti. Come sit for a portrait with Derrick. Explore archival ephemera curated by Marcella. Let the DJ move you. Grab a drink. Stay a while.
