H.O.U.S.E. Theatre Arts Group, (non-profit) will set the stage for All Things Media, LLC to present The Lost Generation. This fast paced Gospel production infused with jazz, laughs and a powerful message will perform center stage at the Hayti Heritage Center for 3 shows and will benefit disenfranchised youth discover their artistic potential (March 29-30, 2008).Lizzy, a young 1930’s Cabaret singer at King Kelly’s nightclub, has all the makings of the next Billie Holiday. But when she is introduced to the Lord she must decide whether to follow her heart and serve God, or go after the fame and fortune that is sure to be hers.
When the actions of Cynthia, 16 year old granddaughter to Lizzy now 93, is exposed after a night time excursion with her friends, realizes that she must reveal the riveting testimony that she has held within if she hopes to point Cynthia in the right direction.
The story fast forwards to the present day, and in addition to gaining a much greater respect for her grandmother, Cynthia sees firsthand that living a life committed to the Lord requires a lot more than she bargained for.
