The Board of Directors of the St. Joseph’s Historic Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce the 9th annual Spirit of Hayti Awards Gala will be held Thursday evening, March 20, 2008, at 5:30 at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club, 3001 Cameron Boulevard, Durham, NC. This black tie fundraising event will include dinner and silent auction with live entertainment.

Muhammad ALI: The Photographs of Sonia Katchian
The Muhammad Ali | The Photographs of Sonia Katchian exhibition has been seen in four communities around the country already, including the Muhammad Ali Center, where they have said, “Sonia’s photographs of Muhammad show the gentler side of an incredibly complex, loving human being who just happened to be a boxer.” Pulitzer Prize winning journalist E.R. Shipp has said, “Your photographs are unusual — they show the human side of Ali!” Master photographer Kwaku Alston gasped when he saw The ALI Folioâ„¢, saying, “These are the best photographs of Muhammad Ali I’ve ever seen!” The testimonials keep coming in.
14th Annual Black Diaspora Film Festival
The Black Diaspora Film Festival celebrates African American cinema by highlighting established and emerging filmmakers and films while showcasing the contributions and uniqueness of the Black artistic tradition in film. Our film selection embodies the richness of Black culture, recognizing universal themes and the similarities that exist among all cultures- St. Joseph’s Historic Foundation, Inc.
